Inspiriert von einem alten, rostigen Ladenschild für Butter, habe ich die Schrift Margarina entwickelt. Es ist eine reine Headline Schrift. Die Besonderheit: die x-Linie ist markant nach unten verschoben. Die einzelnen Buchstaben sind charakteristisch sehr schmal angelegt. Um die Schrift zu bewerben, habe ich ein Plakat und eine Broschüre entworfen. Die Benennung, die sonnengelbe Farbe und eine Illustration einer Butterflocke sind Anspielungen auf die Inspirationsquelle Margarine.
Inspired by an old, rusty sign for a butter manufacture, I created the font Margarina, which is a headline typeface. The x-line is shifted in direction of the baseline. The letters are pretty narrow, which is also characteristic for my font. As advertisement I developed also a poster and a brochure. Naming, the color and the illustration of a curl of butter are small hints to the inspirational source Margarine.
